Love isYou say you love me.

Love is the "good morning" scrawled on the white tea napkin next to the stove when I drag myself out of bed.
Love is the wool blanket I nuzzle against my skin in the winters
and the gilded music box in the depths of my closet, where I sometimes
fumble my way through just to hear the familiar jingle play.

But I just assumed you meant the same thing.

I didn't know you would rummage for my blanket and toss the "tattered thing" in a cardboard box.
Or how you dropped my golden treasure,
shattering it into a thousand shards and splintered bits across the hardwood floor.
