EnticementThe ground singes my knees
as snow dances
over your
glassy remains.
You did not wait,
I mutter to the broken figure
bleeding into the crevices
of the concrete.
You tumbled through the air,
an acrobat with no partner to clasp
your outstretched hands as you
fell,
the tips of your fingers,
frostbitten and frantic,
sparkling in the rays of dawn.
You did not wait,
and now this bitter wasteland,
with its glinting eyes,
sits back and collects its prize.

OxygenHave you ever felt
that all the air around you
vanished,
leaving you in panicked gasps as though an
encasement of oxygen supporting
the feebleness of your life suddenly
disappeared.

You're lost,
when you can't breathe. So basic a function,
we simply expect it to
satisfy our primal craving as it floats
harmlessly
through the atmosphere.

Until the air thins,
has had enough of your selfish demands.
You cannot speak,
knowing that your precious air has
slipped away from you like a silk handkerchief
snatched from a lover's grasp.

Your lungs scream in agony.
"Breathe! BREATHE!" They say.

But it's your own damn fault.

Hey everyone! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Well, this is another piece from my first photography project, all film and negatives and that old stuff

The project was to use one element of design to accomplish a principle of design (so 7 photos total; and I'll probably scan and upload my other favorites). Proportion and scale through the use of shapes was for this one.

Now, from a not so technical point of view, you all know how much I adore my tea set. On top of that, I love the concept of Alice in Wonderland, so it would seem only fitting that I play with scale and pay homage to the unusually beautiful in this way.

Regardless, I invite you to think of this in any way that comes to mind and share it with me

Ohh, this is insanely nice! It's almost looking like a drawing! Can I draw this sometime? It's just so nice! I like to look at it, because it's all shiny, but I also like the title and the way you actually made this LOOK mysterious, with all the darkness and the way the composition is built up - very nice! And instant fav!
